Matrix components and live preview
Give editors a set of carefully designed components for text, images, quotations and product features.
We build those components from your design and define the permitted content and combinations. Editors can add and rearrange them, see the result in Live Preview and share unpublished drafts through preview links.
Articles, people, locations and products each get appropriate fields. Relationships avoid duplicate maintenance: one author profile can serve many articles, for example. The model also defines which fields are translated and which content is shared.

Craft 5’s Live Preview places the page beside its fields. The official Europa demo shows how text, images and related entries come together.

Where Craft works well
Craft supports varied editorial formats, such as a magazine with interviews, photo features and linked author profiles.
Corporate and brand websites
Services, locations, team profiles and campaign pages in one CMS. Reusable components give editors flexibility without asking them to redesign every new page.
Online magazines and topic portals
Articles, interviews and features linked to authors, tags and related reading. Content can appear in several places without being entered again.
Multilingual websites
Run related languages, countries or brands in one installation. Model shared content and local differences, with permissions assigned around the team’s work.
Product catalogues with supporting content
Connect product details, images, downloads and use cases. We integrate PIM and other data sources as needed. For commerce, we assess Craft Commerce or a connection to an existing shop.
Our Craft CMS services
For a new build or the next stage of an existing Craft website.
- Planning and design: structure, navigation and visual design, developed into content types, fields and Matrix components.
- Development and integration: bespoke templates, search, forms and APIs. We assess suitable plugins and build custom functions where needed.
- SEO, performance and accessibility: indexable pages, metadata, canonicals, structured data and sitemaps, with loading and interaction checked across design, content and code.
- Migration and launch: content mapping and import, redirects, editorial onboarding and releases through separate development, staging and production environments.
- Maintenance: Craft, plugin, PHP and database compatibility, with backups, monitoring and deployment agreed with your IT and hosting teams.
One application or a separate frontend?
Craft can render the website on the server using Twig templates. For a corporate site or magazine, keeping the CMS and website together can make development and operation straightforward.
A GraphQL API is available when content also needs to reach an app, a separate frontend or other websites. Schemas and permissions control access. We plan preview, publishing, caching and SEO around that separation.
Licensing and future development
Craft is developed by Pixel & Tonic under its own licensing model. It offers a free Solo edition and paid editions for editorial teams. We account separately for licences, update renewals, plugins, hosting and maintenance. The source is available, but Craft is not MIT-licensed like Payload. Major upgrades also require a review of the roadmap and plugin compatibility.
How Craft compares
We assess Craft alongside TYPO3, Storyblok and Payload against the team’s editorial tasks, required functions and operating model.
